Even though we never get to have a “White Christmas” in Scottsdale Arizona, the Phoenix area is still a wonderful place for families to spend time during the holiday season.
To be honest, the lack of frozen precipitation is kinda nice, and even in the desert, our family embraces all the beauty Christmas can bring.
Here are some of our favorite holiday activities in and around Phoenix Arizona.
Christmas at the Princess
This is THE complete Christmas experience in the Phoenix area! Thousands of people gather every year to attend, running from November 18th, 2022 through January 2nd, 2023.
Located at the luxurious Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort, this 65 acres of Christmas magic contain; 6.5 million lights (more than 2 miles), a Ferris wheel, all your favorite Christmas characters, an ice-skating rink, and of course, Santa!

This is not an experience you want to miss.

The Tumbleweed Christmas Tree Chandler
Every year the town of Chandler transforms its downtown into a beautiful winter wonderland where families can walk around, grab dinner and take selfies in the festive structures!
All that plus you can visit one of the prettiest Christmas trees in Arizona.
Every year, the town holds a parade in the beginning of December called, The Parade of Lights, to celebrate the lighting of the giant tree.
Enchant
Enchant is the self-proclaimed, “World's Largest Christmas Light Maze and Village.”
Dre got lost in the giant maze when he thought he lost his drone. 😂
Stop by the Tipsy Tree Lounge for a holiday inspired cocktail/ mocktail in a Light Bulb cup or a hot chocolate, spiked or not!
There's an ice-skating rink and even a chance to meet Santa.
Its crazy how cold they can make that place to make ice in the desert!
This is a fun experience for the whole family. We had a blast!

ZooLights
ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo is a Christmas Light spectacle.
Take an evening stroll through the completely transformed zoo to gaze at giant light sculptures including; dinosaurs, giant grasshoppers, mythical unicorns and a pride of lions.
Although most of the zoo’s normal inhabitants are asleep during this event, there are still a few nocturnal creatures awake like the California Condor.
With the holiday season being so busy for most families, it's important to remember the most precious gift of all, time.
