It's no secret that Dre and I never grew out of our party phase.
Did you know we actually met while partying?
And although we go through chill phases, and love spending a Saturday night binge watching our favorite shows, we can never go too long without a good night out for some drinks, dancing, and if we ballin out, reserve a table. 😎
Back in 2021 I felt in love with Scottsdale Arizona and immediately knew I wanted to move here for the weather, hiking, outdoor exploring, and of course the party scene 💃🏽🕺🏾
We’ve partied in many countries and states across this country, yet Scottsdale is one of the best places for a weekend getaway.
Scottsdale
In the past few years, Scottsdale has been an increasingly popular destination for bachelor/ bachelorette parties, romantic weekend getaways or chill weekends with friends.
There’s so much to do from catching a Suns game in this city to enjoying the countless golf courses (around 200!) or exploring the incredible desert surroundings.
Special events are a constant occurrence to the increasingly popular region, like the 2022 Super Bowl or the annual Phoenix Open (the Super Bowl of Golf with an estimated attendance of 800,000?!)
Every weekend the city’s infused with new energy from the constant influx of out-of-town party goers.

Please note this guide only highlights the city of Scottsdale.
We’ll provide future “Where To” guides for the adjoining cities of Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert and other surrounding Phoenix communities which all have their own unique downtowns and entertainment districts full of fun things to do.
Scottsdale Geography
The main part of Scottsdale referred to in this guide are the Entertainment District and Old Town. The area is next to the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall (great for finding dress code appropriate shoes), dozens of restaurants, and shops. More on Old Town Scottsdale.
Speaking of dress code, it varies by establishment, although you’ll want a bathing suit for the pool party. Guys should avoid wearing Jordan’s as most nightclubs won’t allow them. 🤔 We’ve seen no such bias against Yeezys or even Converse All-Stars 🤔🧐🤷🏾♂️
Here are my favorite choices for day drinking
This is a great place to go day drinking and situated in the heart of Old Town making it convenient to walk around and bar hop. There is a huge outdoor patio featuring live music, billiard games and if you get hungry after a few drinks, the bar food includes chicken tenders, burgers, and the fries are to die for!
Right next door to Boondocks you will find a nice hang out spot where you can play games, eat and have a Unicorn On Acid cocktail. 😲 This is a little less lively and crowded than Boondocks but also fun as there is always a DJ playing great music.
Entertainment District
A short walk from The Hot Chick you’ll find the Entertainment District. Teeming with party goers, you’ll hear music before you see the blocks of clubs and bars. Saturday Nights are absolutely insane.
All these options are super close to each other, and most of these clubs are open air. When it gets crowded, the lines are huge, so if you have a group make sure to reserve a table.
Bevvy feels like a New England pub or sports bar. Normally less crowded than some of its neighbors, we love the huge selection of beer and great music.
Just a short walk across the street from Bevvy you’ll find one of my favorite places, El Jefe. One of the smaller clubs in this area, they serve a great margarita and have mostly hip hop and reggaeton playing which I love.
Country music fan? 🤠Directly across the street you can find Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, not my favorite so I usually just watch from across the street 😂
If you are looking for an epic pool party, club Maya is a must stop. The day club gets packed in the summer so make sure to purchase tickets ahead of time.
When it typically is still 100° at midnight, when the sun goes down, the pool party continues into the evening.
Forgot your bathing suit? There’s a bathing suit store right next door! There's also a huge patio with several different above-water spaces to mingle in.
My second favorite spot, it's super spacy with a couple of distinct areas to choose from. The rooftop is gorgeous but it's best to get a table up there. If you stay downstairs there is a huge dance floor and amazing music, usually a mix of Hip-Hop, Pop, Reggaeton and Dance.
They also serve an amazing pizza.🍕😋
If you want more of a lounge scene, there are two options, Cake Nightclub which plays top 40s and is best when reserving a table and Pretty Please which is a good Hip-Hop nightclub.
If you don’t fall in love with our favorite party spots, no worries!
With so many options to choose from, right there within walking distance, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time dancing the night away.
BTW, in case you didn’t know, I LOVE pizza, and there’s no better way to end a night out than with the delicious hot slices served up at Gus’s New York Pizza or Joe’s NY Pizza, right next to the clubs.
Both opened until 4:30 AM, the perfect ending to a night in Scottsdale : )
